	Installing Schlage knobs and levers

Check the hole diameters.
Enlarge the holes if necessary.

Install the latch with the beveled side of the bolt facing the doorjamb.

If applicable, make sure the keyway position is correct (i.e., the points of the key are turned upwards when inserted into the lock).

Install the outer knob or lever mechanism with the spindle through the latch.

Line up the holes of the inner knob or lever mechanism with the outer knob or lever.

Attach the new strike plate to the doorjamb if necessary. The latch hole must be 5/8" (16 mm) deep.
